“After a few futile hours at the pond with a fishing-rod many begin to wonder what it would be like using one’s smartphone to see where all the fish hide. Friday Lab created the first smart sonar Deeper in the world both for amateur and professional fishermen. It is the sonar that can show you where to look for fish directly on the screen of a tablet computer or a smartphone. If you could not brag about great catches until today, with Deeper you will always bring fish home.

Deeper is a smart sonar for smartphones and tablets supporting Android 2.2+ and iOS 4.0+ operating systems. COMPATIBILITY. The smart sonar works in the depths from 0.5 m to 40 m and uses Bluetooth connection to display the information about the fish, the pond bed, water temperature and obstacles you may bump into, on the screen of a phone or a tablet.

With Deeper sonar you can go angling in any weather: the device works in the temperatures from -10 to +40 degrees. When angling from a boat, a coast or a bridge, you can observe the situation on the screens of your smart devices within 50 m radius. Deeper turns on and is activated only when immersed in water, that way it extends its working time so in unfavorable conditions there is no need to take off your gloves or other protection to get a grip on small operational buttons.

Deeper sonar is very compact and ergonomic, being only 6.5 cm in diameter and made in such a way that it cannot be damaged by water. The sonar is resistant not only to water, but also to small shocks. The lithium ion battery ensures about 6 hours uninterrupted operation of the echosounder and Deeper can be charged using a conventional Micro USB cable.”

Canon EOS Rebel T4i DSLR Camera

Canon EOS Rebel T4i DSLR Camera /  Canon EOS 650D
The The new EOS Rebel T4i features incredible image quality with an 18-megapixel CMOS (APS-C) sensor, DIGIC 5 Image Processor that is the first Canon DSLR that claims to offer continuous autofocus in movie mode and live view, which Canon calls “Hybrid AF”. This feature, intended mainly for video recording, is implemented through a new sensor technology in which certain pixels are dedicated to phase-detection AF (traditionally used in DSLRs) and others to contrast-detection AF (used in camcorders). When the subject is in the center of the frame, phase detection is used to identify the subject’s current location, with contrast detection then used to fine-tune the focus. Hybrid AF will be available with all lenses, but other improvements to video autofocus, specifically in smoothness and quietness, will depend on the use of Canon’s new STM lenses, two of which were announced alongside the The new EOS Rebel T4i features incredible image quality with an 18-megapixel CMOS (APS-C) sensor, DIGIC 5 Image Processor that . DPReview noted that the Hybrid AF system was similar to the focusing system of the Nikon 1 mirrorless cameras.

Canon EOS Rebel T4i front body

The The new EOS Rebel T4i features incredible image quality with an 18-megapixel CMOS (APS-C) sensor, DIGIC 5 Image Processor that is also the first DSLR from any manufacturer equipped with a touchscreen, although it is not the first interchangeable-lens camera with this feature. Almost all shooting parameters and camera functions can be controlled either via the touchscreen, or by buttons and the control dial.

The AF system used for stills shooting through the optical viewfinder is inherited from the EOS 60D. All 9 points are cross-type, as opposed to only the central point in the 600D.[5] The central point is also dual cross-type (i.e., also sensitive to diagonal lines) at f/2.8.
A more complete feature list follows:
18.0 effective megapixel APS-C CMOS sensor
DIGIC 5 image processor with 14-bit processing
95% viewfinder frame coverage with 0.85× magnification
1080p HD video recording at 24p, 25p (25 Hz) and 30p (29.97 Hz)
720p HD video recording at 50p (50 Hz) and 60p (59.94 Hz)
480p ED video recording at 50p (50 Hz) and 60p (59.94 Hz)
5.0 frames per second continuous shooting
ISO sensitivity 100–12800 (expandable to 25600)
3.0-inch Clear View II LCD touchscreen with 640 × 480 (1.04 MP) resolution
9-point auto-focus system, all cross-type
63-zone color sensitive metering system
Built-in Speedlite transmitter, supporting Canon’s latest radio-controlled flashes
Popup flash

Canon EOS Rebel T4i backscreen

Canon EOS Rebel T4i backscreen

The new EOS Rebel T4i features incredible image quality with an 18-megapixel CMOS (APS-C) sensor, DIGIC 5 Image Processor that helps capture all the action with high-speed continuous shooting of up to five frames per second (fps) and an extended ISO range of 100-12800 (expandable to 25600 in H mode) that gives photographers the opportunities to take the EOS Rebel T4i into more shooting situations than ever before.

The camera includes a revolutionary new autofocus (AF) system to help achieve fast, sharp focus and smooth HD video. The new AF system includes a nine-point all cross-type sensor array, and new Hybrid CMOS AF which achieves fast focus when shooting stills or video in Live View mode. Much to the pleasure of aspiring student filmmakers and parents everywhere, the Rebel T4i features Canon’s new Movie Servo AF providing a quiet, continuous AF during HD video recording when using one of Canon’s newly introduced Stepping Motor (STM) lenses. The silent continuous autofocus when shooting HD video helps ensure the camera only captures the sounds of the scene being recorded. When combined with the camera’s new Vari-angle Touch Screen 3.0-inch Clear View LCD monitor II and intuitive “fingertip” controls, touch-menu and advanced still and video capabilities, the EOS Rebel T4i stands as Canon’s most “consumer-friendly” DSLR to date.

“Our Rebel line of cameras bridges the gap between the casual photographer and someone looking to advance their photography and capture moments in new and creative ways. The EOS Rebel T4i boasts full HD video with AF and touch-screen navigation, inspiring even more photographers and videographers to explore the creative options made possible with DSLR cameras and lenses,” said Yuichi Ishizuka, executive vice president and general manager, Imaging Technologies & Communications Group, Canon U.S.A.

New AF Capabilities
One of the most significant upgrades to the EOS Rebel T4i is a dramatically upgraded AF system including a nine-point all cross-type AF array, with a high-precision dual-cross f/2.8 point at center. The EOS Rebel T4i is the first Canon camera to feature the new Hybrid CMOS AF system which increases AF speed by reducing the camera’s need to “hunt” for focus. The result is fast continuous AF when shooting photos and movies in Live View. Because the camera’s cross-type AF points have two-dimensional contrast detection, the EOS Rebel T4i provides highly accurate focus regardless of your shot composition and ensures great focus no matter where the subject is located in the frame. The addition of the dual-cross point in the center allows for much faster and precise focusing for photographers using high-speed f/2.8 lenses.

Using the touch panel, parents can select their child on the LCD screen and the camera will remain focused on that child while they stay in-frame, ensuring sharp focus in crowds and group shots. The new AF system enables Touch Focus for shooting photos and movies in Live View. To make capturing photos even easier, a Touch Shutter function can also be enabled, whereby selecting a subject on the LCD screen, the camera will instantly take a photo, once focus is locked.

Continuous AF during HD Video Recording
For the first time in a Canon EOS DSLR, the EOS Rebel T4i includes Canon’s new Movie Servo AF for recording video. When used with Canon’s new EF and EF-S STM lenses, the camera can provide smooth and quiet continuous AF while recording video. This technological breakthrough enables the new EOS Rebel T4i to achieve AF while still retaining a DSLR camera’s signature background blur and image quality, producing stunning videos of parties, events, summer vacations or graduations.

When shooting video with Canon’s STM lenses, AF also remains silent, helping ensure you only capture the sound of the scene being recorded. The EOS Rebel T4i features a built-in stereo microphone, a first for the Rebel line, that includes an attenuator function to reduce audio distortion in extra loud situations.

Canon’s First Touch-Screen DSLR
Another Canon first, the EOS Rebel T4i includes a best-in-class Vari-angle Touch Screen 3.0-inch Clear View LCD monitor II featuring 1.04 million dot resolution for unparalleled, clear viewing. The electro-static touch-panel screen is the most advanced that Canon has released to date with multi-touch capabilities allowing photographers to use familiar gestures such as “pinch-to-zoom” and “swiping” to scroll between pictures. Camera operation has been simplified through this feature allowing for Touch Focus or Touch Shutter controls via the vari-angle touch-screen. The vari-angle touch-screen flips out to the left and rotates 180 degrees forward and 90 degrees backward, making tough above-the-head and low-to-the-ground shots easy, and allowing improved views during photo or video capture. That means the overhead shot taken in a crowd or at a graduation march just got a little easier to shoot.

Apple iOS 6 Announced

apple ios 6 announced

Apple has demonstrated the new iOS 6 today at WWDC (World Wide Developer’s Conference). The guys at apple really spent thier time on this one with over 200 improvements for the next-generation mobile platform.

Facebook integration
the best ever in a mobile device, allowing you to sign in once and post from Notification Center, Siri and Facebook-enabled apps, including Photos, Safari and Maps. Your Facebook friends’ information is kept up to date across all your iOS devices, automatically updating details in Contacts when they change, and scheduling events and birthdays in your Calendar. You can also “Like” content directly from the App Store™ and iTunes® and see what your friends recommend.

Maps App
Apple officially dumped Google Maps in iOS 6. iOS 6 includes an all new Maps app with vector-based map elements that make graphics and text smooth, and panning, tilting and zooming incredibly fluid. New turn-by-turn navigation guides you to your destination with spoken directions, and the amazing Flyover feature has photo-realistic interactive 3D views. Real-time traffic information keeps you updated on how long it will take to get to your destination and offers alternate time-saving routes if traffic conditions change significantly. Additionally, local search includes information for over 100 million businesses with info cards that offer Yelp ratings, reviews, available deals and photos.

FaceTime Over Cellular: Finally. After two years of FaceTime, Apple has finally made it available over 3G cellular connections. Since launch it has only worked over Wi-Fi, which was a serious limitation. Now that it will be available over 3G, you can expect FaceTime’s usage to increase exponentially. FaceTime will also combine a user’s phone number and Apple ID, allowing them to answer either their phone or their FaceTime app on their phone or Mac.

now available for the new iPad as well as iPhone 4S, includes language support for English, French, German and Japanese, and adds support for Spanish, Italian, Korean, Mandarin and Cantonese. Siri is optimized for use in 15 countries and helps you get even more done with just your voice, whether it’s finding the latest sports scores or making restaurant reservations. You also can ask Siri to update your status on Facebook, post to Twitter or launch an app. Additionally, Siri takes hands-free functionality even further with a new Eyes Free mode, enabling you to interact with your iPhone using nothing more than your voice.

Eyes Free
An interesting feature added to iOS is Eyes Free. Together with a dozen auto manufacturers, Apple is looking to add a dedicated “Siri” button in cars. This will let iOS device owners access Siri and their iPhone when driving without taking their eyes off the road. Worried about Microsoft’s Sync much, Apple?

Shared Photo Streams
With more than 125 million users already enjoying iCloud, iOS 6 introduces new ways to share photos with friends and family using Shared Photo Streams. Simply select the photos you want to share, pick which friends you want to receive the album, and the Shared Photo Stream album is instantly available on their iOS devices, iPhoto® and Aperture® on their Mac®, via the web or even through Apple TV®. You and your friends can leave comments on or “Like” any photo in a shared album.

Apple didn’t spend too much time on the new email for iOS application, but showed off two much-needed improvements. First, iOS device users will be able to designate VIP email senders. In other words, if you want to prioritize emails from your boss on your iPhone, you’ll be able to. Much more important, however, is the ability to add pictures and videos to emails directly from the email application. In previous versions of iOS, if you wanted to add a photo, video, or other file, you had to do so directly from the photo application. This is a major headache that should have been cleared up a long time ago.
Passbook App

the simplest way to get all your passes in one place, such as boarding passes and baseball tickets. Passbook lets you scan your iPhone or iPod touch to use a coupon, get into a concert or check into your hotel. Passbook automatically displays your passes on your Lock Screen based on a specific time or location, so when you walk into your favorite coffee shop your loyalty card appears and you can scan it to buy a coffee or check your balance. Passbook can even alert you to last minute gate changes or flight delays at the airport.

Guided Access
Building on Apple’s commitment to provide innovative solutions for education and accessibility, iOS 6 introduces Guided Access. This new feature allows a parent, teacher or administrator to disable hardware buttons to lock an iOS device into a single app, especially useful for test taking or helping someone with a disability stay focused on learning. Guided Access also includes the ability to confine touch input to certain parts of the screen.

Mounted on an alligator and calfskin band, the Tambour 44mm stainless steel casing contains contrasting white and yellow hands with a textured black dial reminiscent of the circular scale radars found in airplane cockpits. The Fly-Back name comes from the watch’s “Fly Back” function which allows for a quick-reset and starting of a second chronograph at the push of a single button. The watch itself is powered by the LV 137 Swiss movement, and features a visible 42-hour power reserve positioned between 4 and 5 o’clock. Louis Vuitton 2012 Fly Back Tambour

Louis Vuitton 2012 Fly Back Tambour

The “FLY BACK” Tambour Automatic Chronograph is characterised by a strong design: a tarmac-coloured black dial, two auxiliary counters (30-minute totaliser and small second hand) evoking the military chronographs of the sixties, and a bright yellow central hand allowing you to read sequentially the seconds that have passed on the chronograph on a double circular scale reminiscent of the radars found in aeroplane cockpits.

Prized by pilots for their navigation calculations, the Fly Back function allows you to reset the timing underway and restart another instantly by pressing and immediately releasing the reset push button, without needing to activate the “stop” push button.

To make reading the time easier, all of the time indications (index, hollow central hands, and small second counter) are made of shiny black steel, while the Fly Back chronograph instrumentation is adorned in yellow, a colour linked to the Maison’s history (sewing thread for fine leather goods) and very widely used in the world of aeronautics.

Powered by the LV 137 automatic calibre manufactured in the Dubois-Dépraz Swiss workshops, the “FLY BACK” Tambour Automatic Chronograph offers a power reserve of 42 hours and features an ingenious date window positioned between 4 o’clock and 5 o’clock.

A professional instrument produced in a limited, numbered edition of 888 pieces, which is housed in the famous Tambour 44 mm-diameter steel case.

Equipped with a rubber-overmolded winding crown for optimal ergonomics, the “FLY BACK” Tambour Automatic Chronograph is mounted on a two-material leather strap (alligator and calfskin with a yellow calfskin lining and yellow signature stitch).
